  •  For Ecobee, the R wire goes with the RC terminal, G goes with the C terminal, Y goes with the PEK terminal, and W connects to the W1 terminal.
  •  Place the Ecobee thermostat on you, mount it, turn on the HVAC, and your Ecobee thermostat will start functioning.

  •  Switch the HVAC device before starting the installation process and capture the wiring in a photo of your furnace’s previous thermostat and the control board.
  • Find the thermostat wires that are the W, Y, G, and R on the furnace board, linked to their respective terminals or intertwined with cables that lead to your board.
  •  Please take out the wires and put them in the corresponding terminals.
  • There will be 5 wires on the other side, the W, Y, R, G, and the common wire; place them to the matching terminals in the control board for the furnace.

  •  In your Ecobee3, the W wire goes with the W1 terminal, the G wire goes with the G terminal, the Y wire goes with the Y1 terminal, and the R wire goes with the RC terminal.
